Irrelevant irrelevantly irrelevance.
Sanity in a bottle.

This 'Jarhead' movie, featuring Kanye West's "Jesus Song", has totally took over TV. I don't care if you're watching WE or WB you ARE going to see this trailer and you ARE going to swing your head around just as Jamie Foxx says 'hoo-rah' for the umpteenth time. Just release the fucking movie already and stop the insanity that is Jake Gyllenhaal looking wistfully at the war-torn sky.
"Bumbah - this is the sound of settling" Death Cab sings for
the OC 'Shopgirl' (edit: oops) ... suddenly they are much much bigger than Built to Spill, and for 10 years or so, there were not even close ... And that's kinda sad for both bands.
Ah Death Cab, ah humanity.
No matter though! Who needs boring history lessons? It's not like these Indie bands came from somewhere or had fans before or did a damn thing before some crossover corp/indie drone, with the tiny power he did control, threw them on a major motion picture instead of a Nissan/Honda commercial where they may or may not be climbing up the side of a mountain (or climbing down the other side of the mountain).
Speaking of corporations. Working at Disney is a blooming hoot! It's fun having your future hang on something as useless and insipid as 'Chicken Little'. "God, please make the little bastards of the world see some movie that's been in the can for over a year because it tested badly and has been reworked a million times. Let it succeed above all odds because there's literally tens of thousands of jobs riding on its success, not excluding my puny middle-of-the-room cubicle job where I spend most of my time trying to look busy so as to not attract the attention of the hundreds of VP's, Directors and Senior Staff that take much glee and salivate profusely in the prospect of offing low level office rats such as me that look wistfully at the war-torn fake ceiling that holds much network cable and much life-bringing air from air ducts. The Jesus and Mary Chain amen."

Wow. Haven't felt like this in a long time.
Old old news, but I didn't realize there was such a big hub-bub
over Cat Stevens' 'Father and Son'
and Flaming Lips 'Fight Test'.
If you listen to the Cat Stevens' (Yusuf Islam's) acoustic part, it's dead on for the FL's version.
Oh God, I'm so so very bored.

Quite a time for new music:
Eels, Beck, Gorillaz, Weezer, Sleater-Kinney, NiN.
Wow, that list makes me feel old.

Click for ".... and now a random fact about Vin Diesel
"Ray Charles once looked at Vin Diesel...and never saw another thing again."
"When the white smoke rises from the Vatican, we will know that they have chosen a new Vin Diesel."
"Vin Diesel did not use a microphone to record his work on The Iron Giant, he simply shouted his lines at the film reel and it got with the program."
